Whiplash - Beaten up Beats
Whiplash is an American Drama film about Andrew Neiman
(Miles Teller) who is a first-year jazz student at New York's prestigious
Shaffer Conservatory music school. He aspires to become a great drummer and
become a part of team conducted by Terrence Fetcher (J.K. Simmons) who is
really a fearsome teacher and perfectionist to the core. The movie is about
Andrew’s struggle to become the best and agony he goes through after repetitive
rejection by Terrence which compels him to give the best solo performance as
drummer.
It is a very intense movie and shows the passion of music
artiste, it shows teachers apathy to get best from his student and push him to
achieve what was never ever achieved by anyone. It’s a great movie with amazing
direction and performance by Miles Teller and JK Simmons and not to mention the
music which makes is one of the best movies ever made about music. Simply
Superb !
